Pretty Little Liars is one of the most-tweeted television shows and popular among American teens.
Whether you love the show or not, “lots of girls watch this show and it would be great to have them see cool/smart high school girls go into computer science,” said Ingrid Avendaño, an engineer at Uber.
She has blogged before about imposter syndrome in college, “I often was reluctant to tell people I was in engineering school, because I was expecting to be told that I didn’t belong there – and you know what, it actually happened a couple times.”
She appeals to Pretty Little Liars writer/producer I. Marlene King to create a positive role model for high school girls by having one of the characters on Pretty Little Liars major in C.S.:
.@imarleneking Can you make one of the girls on #PrettyLittleLiars go into computer science for college! 🙂 #womenintech #girlswhocode
