About Hackbright's Phenomenal Woman Scholarship
About Hackbright's Phenomenal Woman Scholarship
Did you know about Hackbright Academy’s Phenomenal Woman Scholarship? The scholarship is awarded to two phenomenal women for each full-time Software Engineering course. If you’ve already applied for a course or you’re planning on applying, you should learn more about the scholarship details to see if it’s something you want to pursue.
Why Do We Offer a Phenomenal Woman Scholarship?

At Hackbright Academy, our mission is to change the ratio of women to men working in the technology industry. To that end, we offer the Phenomenal Woman Scholarship. After all, scholarships are about helping students access education that would otherwise be extremely challenging if not impossible for them to attain. We want to help women pursue tech careers.
Who Can Apply for the Phenomenal Woman Scholarship?

The Phenomenal Woman Scholarship is open for applications to anyone who plans on or has already applied for a full-time Software Engineering course at Hackbright Academy. That means you must apply for the scholarship in connection with the course you plan on enrolling in (even though the applications are separate). In what order you apply for the scholarship and course is flexible. If you have applied for neither, we recommend starting with the course application.
How Do You Prep for the Phenomenal Woman Scholarship Application?

To apply for the Phenomenal Woman Scholarship, you must submit a technical work sample and participate in a technical interview. Scholarship recipients are chosen based on their performance in these two areas. The technical work sample can be a final assignment from a previous class, a personal side project, your Hackbright Prep final project, or something that you create specifically for the scholarship application. The technical interview will be scheduled after you submit your sample, and it will be conducted in whatever programming language you want.
Apply for Hackbright’s Phenomenal Woman Scholarship
When you’re ready to apply for the full-time Software Engineering course, you can also apply for Hackbright Academy’s Phenomenal Woman Scholarship. Scholarship applications are accepted on a rolling basis, but applications should be submitted before the scholarship deadline for the course you are planning on enrolling in. Learn more and apply for the scholarship.
